What Stellara is

Stellara is an amateur astronomy planning tool built by one person in Italy. It brings together weather, observing conditions, saved locations, community posts, an AI assistant, and astronomy planning tools.

Weather, sky conditions, pass times, event timing, and AI answers are guidance only. They can be wrong or incomplete. Do not use Stellara for safety-critical decisions.

Who can use it

You must be 13 or older to use Stellara anywhere in the world. By using the service, you confirm that you meet that age requirement.

Acceptable use

You may not use Stellara to post illegal content, harass or threaten people, spam, repeatedly self-promote, upload copyrighted material you do not have the right to use, or attempt to hack, scrape, disrupt, or abuse the platform.

Stellara may remove content, suspend access, or permanently delete accounts that break these rules. Severe violations do not require a warning first.

Your content

You keep ownership of the observation notes, comments, and images you post. By posting them on Stellara, you give Stellara a non-exclusive license to host, display, and distribute that content inside the platform so the service can work.

You can delete your own content, subject to moderation records or legal obligations that may require some related records to remain. You confirm that you have the right to post anything you upload.

Stellara's content

The platform itself, including its code, design, branding, and non-user content, belongs to Stellara unless another owner is clearly named. You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute the platform or its code without permission.

Pro subscription

Stellara Pro is planned at €4/month when billing is active. Billing is not yet active.

Early supporter pricing is locked for people who join before billing goes live. When billing activates, users will be notified before any charge is made. Once billing is live, cancellation stops future charges. No refunds are given for partial billing periods unless the law where you live requires otherwise.

Limitation of liability

Stellara is a side project provided as-is and without warranty. To the fullest extent allowed by law, Stellara is not liable for inaccurate forecasts, missed ISS passes or astronomy events, downtime, data loss, or any loss or damage caused by using the platform or relying on it.

Some places do not allow full exclusion of liability. In those places, liability is limited to the minimum amount the law allows.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Italian law. If you are in the EU, any mandatory consumer rights you have under EU law still apply. If you live outside the EU, you agree that disputes will be handled under Italian law in Italian courts to the extent your local law allows that.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change in a material way, Stellara will notify account holders by email before the change takes effect where that is practical. Continued use after that means you accept the updated terms.
